Project

Grape Ornaments

Borrow one of nature's prettiest designs and make bunches of beautiful grapes out of tiny glass ornaments.

Materials

  • 25 glass balls, ranging in size from 5/8 inch to 1 inch
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Nail
  • Fabric leaf

Steps

  1. Step 1

Remove the wire hanger from one 5/8-inch ball. Fold the tip of a pipe cleaner into a hook and poke it into the opening in the ball, so that it catches inside the ball and holds it securely.

  2. Step 2

String the remaining balls on the pipe cleaner by their wire hangers, increasing the size as you go.

  3. Step 3

Make a tendril by coiling another piece of pipe cleaner around a nail. Twist the tendril, together with a fabric leaf, to the pipe-cleaner stem to finish the cluster.

Yeah so check out the Ornamator (http://www.ornamator.com) it will make this so much easier. You can cluster more than just ornaments with it also, which is always a plus!
