Introduction

Statement wall, meet indoor garden. Plants on bright brackets make a striking year-round display for indoor ferns or a cool-weather home for plants that spend the summer outdoors. Just be sure to choose a room that gets good natural light.

Arrange the brackets in a pleasing pattern on the floor, then measure and mark their spots on the wall. Screw them into studs or secure with plastic wall anchors. To protect your wall, place each potted fern in another pot without a hole. When the plants need a drink, remove the inner pots and carry them to the sink for water; let them drain before putting them back.
