Yogurt and Apple Raita

This recipe has been adapted from "From Curries to Kebabs" by Madhur Jaffrey.

Yogurt and Apple Raita

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups plain yogurt, preferably whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon chile powder, or cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 small sweet crisp apple, peeled and finely diced

Directions

  1. Place yogurt in a small bowl. Beat lightly with a fork until smooth and creamy. Stir in salt, pepper, chile powder, and apple.
