- Yield: Makes about 2 cups

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup firmly packed light-brown sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee granules
Heat butter and sugar in a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat until butter melts and sugar dissolves, 2 to 3 minutes. Whisk in heavy cream and coffee granules. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; let cool slightly, stirring frequently.
