For a lower-fat version, replace the sour cream with low-fat plain Greek yogurt.

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 ounces blue cheese, crumbled (3/4 cup)
  • Coarse salt and ground pepper


  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together buttermilk, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth. Whisk in blue cheese. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
