Josie, a black Labrador from Albany, Minnesota. "A precious moment captured of our little boy sleeping with his new puppy!" writes jklasen.
Riley and Bailey, shelter mutts from San Diego. "Riley and Bailey both love the water," writes stacie1010. "So, when they get to have their day at the beach they take full advantage, diving into the waves, rolling in the sand, trying to outrun each other to get the tennis ball. They have the life together!"
Orion, Leo, and Cassie, domestic medium-hair cats from Aberdeen, Virginia. "These three -- a sister and two brothers -- always sleep together, no matter where," writes Wishsong. "They hug each other, touch each other to be sure they are there, in a circle, in a row, legs stretched out and entwined."
Lucy, Brooke, Sophie, and Mattie -- a Lab, German shorthaired pointer, and keeshond from Medfield, Massachusetts. "A group of doggy cousins, enjoying a family vacation in Maine," writes vicolane. "Here, they are happily posing while soaking up the summer sun and fresh air."
Gracie Lu Freeway and Maximus Squirtamus, an affenpinscher and a "shorkie" from Marietta, Georgia. "Max had been an 'only dog' until we found Gracie on the road, covered in ticks, almost dead from heatstroke, and -- we would later discover -- with seven cancerous tumors and a rock in her stomach," writes sandra007lewis. "We were worried Max wouldn't accept Gracie -- until the first day they were outside together, when Gracie came over to help Max dig a hole in the backyard. From that point on, Gracie was his sister and his friend for life."
Pablo and Mr. Yellowhair, a mixed breed and an orange tabby from Window Rock, Arizona. "Mr. Yellowhair, the giant baby, and Pablo, the babysitter, will have long 'bathing' sessions after a big breakfast while they retreat to their bed," writes desiree1. "Both rescued as kittens, they don't have the slightest clue how lucky they are to have a couch to call their very own. Did I mention I have to open the drapes to let the sunshine in for them?"
Roxy and Darla, golden doodles from North Salem, New York. "Roxy and Darla came into our lives a few months ago," writes reneatopp. "It was wintertime, but the sun was shining through the windows in the kitchen. The pups were lying quietly (for once!). I got down on the floor, positioned my camera and said, "Hey, pups!" They both looked up, and snap, snap, snap! Perfect pair."
Bella and Dodger, shelties from Rowlett, Texas. "This is Bella and Dodger, running together. Its one of their favorite things to do," writes marymaybe. "They love each other so much, they can't stand to be apart. They appear to be sharing an inside joke with one another in this photo."
Conan and Castle, an orange tabby and a shorthair mix from Columbia, Missouri. "This is Conan 'The Destroyer' and his younger brother, Castle, on just a regular day," writes ChristyChristensen. "They play and run all over the house, and afterward they cuddle."
