Chocolate Glaze

  • yield: Makes enough for one 8-inch cake

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces coarsely chopped semisweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Directions

  1. Step 1

    Place chocolate in a medium bowl. In a small saucepan, bring cream to a boil. Pour over chocolate; whisk until smooth. Let cool until thick yet pourable, 2 to 3 minutes.

    Great tasting cake. Easy to make and the glaze gives it a professional appearance -- looks store bought, but with a homemade taste. Served with a homemade raspberry sauce and creme fraiche for color and taste. Highly recommend!
