      Martha mixes a festive prosecco cocktail.

    Celebrate the most romantic of holidays with this festive -- and delicious -- cocktail recipe, adapted from Salumeria Rosi.

    Ingredients

    • Ice cubes
    • 2 ounces prosecco
    • 1/2 ounce blood orange juice
    • 1/2 ounce Aperol
    • Splash of club soda
    • 1 slice blood orange, for garnish

    Directions

    1. Fill a wine glass with ice cubes. Fill with prosecco, orange juice, and Aperol; top with a splash of club soda. Serve immediately garnished with orange slice.

      I love blood oranges and want to try this cocktail, but cannot find Aperol at any of the local wine and spirit stores. Does anyone know whether Campari can be used as a substitute?
