Tahini Sauce

This sesame seed-based sauce from Michael's Genuine Food & Drink chef Michael Schwartz is a refreshing accompaniment to his Falafel.

  • Yield: Makes 1 cup

  • 1/2 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Pinch of coarse salt


  1. Place all ingredients in the jar of a blender along with 1/2 cup water. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. If sauce gets too thick as it sits, stir in a little more water or lemon juice to thin out.
