Royal Icing

This icing recipe is adapted from the October 2008 issue of Martha Stewart Living and is used to make delicious Halloween Brownies.

  • Yield: Makes about 1 cup icing

Ingredients

  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons meringue powder
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Beat sugar, meringue powder, and water with a mixer on low speed until fluffy but dense, 7 to 8 minutes.
