Homemade Baking Powder

This simple recipe for homemade baking powder is from Scott Peacock of Bon Appetit magazine.

  • Yield: Makes about 1/3 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cream of tartar
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda

Directions

  1. Sift both ingredients together into a small bowl; repeat process 2 more times. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 weeks; resift mixture before using.
