Strawberry Pops

Look for locally grown berries that are brightly colored and plump. They should have the green caps attached and be uniform in size. Avoid soft, shriveled, or moldy fruits. If the strawberries smell sweet, they will most likely taste sweet, too.

This is a great recipe. It is easy to make and fun for kids. Can't wait to try other kinds of fruit! 1 1/2 pints = 3 cups of fruit.

Could you use frozen strawberries and if so would the ingredients remain the same?

A pint and-a-half of fresh strawberries would weigh 430 grams or 15 ounces.
