Simple Seasoned Salt

Seasoned salt adds flavor and texture without the high sodium content of salt alone.

  • Yield: Makes 1/2 cup

  • 1/4 cup coarse or sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons dried dill
  • 2 tablespoons roughly ground fennel seeds


  1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Store seasoned salt in an airtight container.

Cook's Notes

This salt will keep indefinitely in an airtight container at room temperature.
