In a champagne flute, combine prosecco, orange juice, Campari, and simple syrup. Pour vodka over the back of a cocktail spoon into glass creating a layer of black. Serve immediately.
I used regular OJ mixed with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and turned my regular vodka black by adding a bit of black icing paste to it - turned out quite well! Will definitely make again.

It sure is a cute looking cocktail, but I could not find the Blood Oranges and just can not afford the Black Vodka! Sure would love to try it though.

I've used this recipe a few times for punch at parties (substituting the black vodka for regular) and it has been a hit!

Aren't blood oranges out of season? They are not easy to find. Ms. Stewart seemed a bit condescending about to this to her guest.
