Lacquered Egg Boxes

Easter treats are twice as sweet when packaged in personalized egg boxes.

Materials

  • Cardboard egg boxes
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • 200-grit sandpaper
  • Spray clearcoat
  • Iridescent paper
  • Craft punches
  • Glue stick
  • Candy and/or toys

Steps

  1. Step 1

    Paint entire exterior of cardboard egg box with acrylic paint.

  2. Step 2

    Once dry, sand base coat with sandpaper and apply a second coat of paint.

  3. Step 3

    Once second coat of paint has dried, sand the egg box a final time.

  4. Step 4

    Spray egg box with clearcoat and embellish with punched pieces of iridescent paper adhered with a glue stick as desired.

  5. Step 5

    Fill egg boxes with candy and/or toys as desired.
