Vanilla Cream-Cheese Frosting for Ghost Cake and Mini Cupcakes

  • Yield: Makes enough for one 6-inch 3-layer cake

  • 16 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract


  1. Put cream cheese and sugar into the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Mix on medium-high speed until pale and fluffy, 5 to 7 minutes. Mix in vanilla. Use immediately.
