Kefir with Berries

Kefir, a fermented-milk drink full of vitamins and beneficial microorganisms, is even better when blended with fresh, organic red and golden rasp- berries or any other fruit that's in season. If you don't have kefir, substitute buttermilk.

  • 2 cups nonfat kefir, yogurt, or buttermilk
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups berries
  • 1 tablespoon honey or pure maple syrup (optional)


  1. Place all ingredients in the jar of a blender. Blend until smooth. Divide evenly between 2 glasses; serve immediately.
