Fresh Ginger Tea

Use this to soothe anyone suffering from the flu or a cold, or an upset stomach. It's also delicious with an Asian meal, hot or poured over ice. From the book "Mad Hungry," by Lucinda Scala Quinn (Artisan Books).

  • Yield: Makes 4 cups
Fresh Ginger Tea

  • 1/4 cup grated fresh ginger
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 4 teaspoons honey


  1. Put the grated ginger into a teapot and pour in the boiling water. Allow the mixture to steep for 4 minutes. Strain and serve the tea with a teaspoon of honey in each cup. Stir and serve.
