Banana-Oat Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1 banana, cut into thirds
  • 1/2 cup fat-free milk
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine oats, yogurt, banana, fat-free milk, honey, and cinnamon; puree until smooth. Serve immediately.

    Fantastic! I didn't have any yogurt on hand, so I substituted 1/4 cup of 2% milk and 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder. It turned out great!

    This was good, but the second time I went easier on the cinnamon and liked it better (cinnamon killed the banana flavor at the ratio mentioned above). I suggest to start with about1/8 teaspoon, taste it, and if you want more then add more...
