Corn on the Cob



  • 4 ears corn, husked
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Butter, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Cayenne pepper, to taste


  1. In a large, heavy pot, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil; add sugar to sweeten corn. Add corn, and cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve with butter, salt, and cayenne pepper.
