  • 6 McIntosh apples, peeled, cored, and coarsely chopped
  • Zest of 1/2 lemon


  1. Step 1

    In a medium saucepan, combine apples and zest over medium heat. Cook, stirring often and breaking up apples with the back of a wooden spoon, about 20 minutes. Let cool before serving.
