Cook's Notes

Children will handle mini buns easily; cut them out from regular buns with a round biscuit or cookie cutter. Save the scraps from the cut buns to make homemade croutons or breadcrumbs.

One of our favorite recipes - great with the beef although I use less beef and add diced zucchini at the end of cooking time. LOVE IT!

Its me again with a new review. The leftovers of the turkey sloppy joe's made great sauce over pasta. I used a fresh jalapeno which just needed the night to rest to make the sauce spicy and really tasty. Sorry Martha for the hasty review of earlier.

I tried this last night using Turkey adding the cilantro and jalapenos and it was the most bland boring thing I have ever tasted.

The email link stated this was a recipe for Turkey Sloppy Joes. The ingredients calls for beef! A big difference. We make ground turkey sloppy joes all the time. To lower the carb content, use low carb tortillas instead of high carb. bread buns. Tastes great! Editors: watch your proofreading! Turkey is not beef!

the spicy version isn't very spicy and i added extra jalapenos. Skip the kid version. This was delicious. We substituted ground turkey instead of beef. Turned out great!
