Heat grill to high. Clean and lightly oil hot grates. Season steaks with salt and pepper and cook 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Transfer steaks to a plate, tent with foil, and let rest.
Meanwhile, place a double layer of foil or a grill topper on grill. Top with tomatoes and scallions; drizzle with oil. Grill until tender and lightly charred, 6 to 8 minutes. Transfer vegetables to a bowl, toss with vinegar, and season with salt and pepper. Top steaks with vegetables.
This sounds wonderful. I love to marinate my steaks in balsamic vinegar anyway So this should be really good. I like my steaks rare instead of medium so I'll just use this recipe and fix it my way.
Steaks are much better if you cook tomatoes all at same time.
this was delicious...i wasn't sure if it actually would be considered a meal, but with plenty of tomatoes and scallions it was almost like a steak sald! yummy...def. would make this again at least once a month! and so easy to remember too...my 3 kids all gave it a big thumbs up too!
