In a large, deep saucepan, melt butter over low heat, about 4 minutes. Add mini marshmallows and cook, stirring, until melted, 6 to 8 minutes.
Add chocolate and cook, stirring, until melted, 2 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat. Quickly fold in rice cereal and peanut-butter chips until evenly distributed.
Coat a 1/4-cup dry measuring cup with nonstick cooking spray; scoop mixture onto waxed paper, forming clusters. Let set, about 10 minutes.
Store in an airtight container for up to several days.
This recipe is a treat. I used butterscotch chips instead of peanut butter chips!
WOW!!!!
Tasty. A nice spin on rice crispy treats. Even better the next day!
You could use almond paste instead of peanut butter.

To LucyDrew, peanut butter chips are just like chocolate chips, but they are peanut butter flavor. They can be found in most grocery stores in the baking aisle.

Shannelly, what about toasted peanuts?
Try using strawberry marshmallows and white chocolate chips. It is nice change on an old favorite.
What ingredient did you replace with the peanut butter?
I love artistgirl's idea about mixing it up. You could do the strawberry marshmallows with strawberry chips or white chocolate chips...any flavors that go together, really...just look in the baking aisle.

I too would prefer to use peanut butter rather than more chips. Did you do it one on one artistgirl? e.g. 3/4c of peanut butter?
I have used crunchy peanut butter (or smooth, if thats your preference). Also, try diff. chips-butterscotch, dark, even tiny kisses. Marshmallows also come in diff. flavors-strawberry and chocolate. I find them at Walmart or dollar store.
