I appreciate all the great ideas at marthastewart.com. Picked this recipe last week as I was preparing for a friend's Super Bowl party. Lots of chopping - and I'm no pro at this skill - but the end result is simply delicious and different than usual dips. It was a BIG hit at the party! I also liked the fact a very small amount of sour cream and cream cheese is used.

I would also like to know the nutritional content, especially the cholesterol level.

    Thanks!

I was always a fan of the "Lipton Soup Onion Soup" dip. I never thought it could be made better. (lol!) This dip was very easy to make and was strickingly different from the average onion dip. It is soooo worth the extra step of cooking the onions. My guests (I had 30) were commenting about it through the night. This dip was gone by the end of the night! Make it!

Very fresh and delicious! Not like the sticky sour brand type dip. I want to add crab, celery and green onions for a great salad..yum!

This was so easy and tasted delicious. My sister loves that greyish onion soup dip, this was a fresh and yummy alternative. I added some flat leaf parsley before serving.
