Prosciutto with Melon

You can find prosciutto sliced to order at the deli counter, gourmet shops, or Italian markets, or prepackaged in many supermarkets. It is usually sold very thinly sliced.

  • 1/2 medium honeydew melon
  • 6 slices prosciutto (about 3 ounces total)


  1. Seed 1/2 medium honeydew melon; slice into 12 half-inch thick pieces, and remove rind from each. Halve 6 slices prosciutto (about 3 ounces total) lengthwise. Wrap 1 slice around each melon piece.

    Very common in Spain and really delicious and refreshing for hot summer days!!
    Instaid of Italian prosciutto you can buy Spanish Jamón Serrano too :)
