Miami Margarita


This Miami margarita recipe is courtesy of Nobu Matsuhisa and Thomas Buckley and can be found in their cookbook, "Nobu Miami: The Party Cookbook."

  • Yield: Makes 1 cocktail

  • 1 fresh passion fruit, peeled
  • Dash of freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 ounce Honey Syrup for Miami Margarita
  • 1/2 teaspoon Shichimi Togarashi spice powder
  • 2 ounces tequila anejo
  • Ice
  • 1 stick cinnamon, for garnish


  1. Place passion fruit in the bowl of a food processor and process until smooth.

  2. Shake passion fruit puree, lime juice, honey syrup, spice powder, and tequila over ice and strain into a chilled snifter or rocks glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick; serve immediately.

    My sister-in-law and I were surprised and disappointed to see the way Martha seemed to ignore the gentleman to her left during today's show. He was the one making the margarita. It was as if he was being totally ignored when the other two gentlemen were making the other recipe. It is so very unlike Martha and he almost seemed to be embarassed. Martha, please watch this segment and see for yourself. This is not our Martha at all! Thank you! Angela and Phyllis
