Broccoli with Toasted Cashews

Take boring broccoli to the next level with an Asian-inspired side dish. Toss steamed broccoli in lime juice and soy sauce, and finish it with a topping of toasted chopped cashews. Enjoy it with teriyaki chicken, ribs, or our Sriracha-Glazed Chicken Wings.

Broccoli with Toasted Cashews

Ingredients

  • 2 heads broccoli, trimmed and cut into florets
  • 4 teaspoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • Coarse salt
  • 1/4 cup cashews, toasted and coarsely chopped

Directions

  1. Set a steamer basket in a saucepan with 2 inches simmering water. Add broccoli. Cover and steam just until tender, 6 minutes. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, whisk together lime juice, sugar, and soy sauce until sugar dissolves. Add broccoli, season with salt, and top with cashews.
