Watch the water level of your pot. I was shocked to find a smoked blackened pot when I lifted the steamer basket! Next time I would add more water. My potatoes may have been larger in size but they were overdone on the outside underdone on the inside. . Still tasted good, just smoked tasting!

This recipe didn't turn out exactly as I planned. Perhaps my potatoes were too large, or my flame was on too high... I ended up smoking these potatoes because all of the water evaporated in the pot, I was shocked to find a blackened pot when I took the steamer basket off!. The potatoes ended up slightly overcooked on the outside, undercooked on the inside. They still tasted good--but smoky! I highly recommend you monitor the water level in your pot.
