If you use a half cup butter in stead of the turkey drippings it should be fine. I'm about to make it early and that's what I'm doing!!
I don't understand how this is "make ahead" if you have to roast the turkey first?????
A nice dry Riessling works well. NY Finger Lakes riesslings have an extra bit of mineralness that adds a nice touch to gravy.
My favorite is a Sauvignon Blanc. Tastes great!
I know that the type of white wine will vary the taste of this dish quite significantly, right? What did ya'll use? I'm trying to do 2 gravies and want to branch out a bit in the Tgiving feast favorites..any suggestions much appreciated.
What types of white wine did ya'll try? I know this will make a BIG difference in the taste, right? Any suggestions would be wonderful. I'm trying to do 2 different types of gravy...branch out a little.
So great! Very easy and had loads of flavor...had three kids at dinner who could not stop raving about it.
This is one of the best gravies ever, highly recommend it!
Since we all love gravy, it is exciting to try all the gravy recipes we can find. Especilly love the ones made with wine. Very good flavor
