Frozen Grapes with Sauternes Granita
A French dessert wine and grapes add sophistication to this simple granita, which requires only four ingredients and a freezer.

10 ounces red seedless grapes (about 2 cups)

3 tablespoons Sauternes

1 tablespoon water

1 tablespoon sugar
Directions

Step 1
Cut about half of the grapes in half. Spread all of the grapes in an 8-inch square baking dish. Pour Sauternes and water over grapes, and sprinkle with sugar.

Step 2
Place dish in freezer until liquid has started to crystallize on the top and at the edges, about 1 hour. Scrape granita with fork tines, transfer to individual glasses, and serve.
