Salli's Grits

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup grits
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper

Directions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a deep, heavy-bottomed saucepan. Add grits, salt, and pepper. Return to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, partially covered and stirring occasionally, until thickened, 20 to 30 minutes.
