Wine Cork Stamp
Martha shows how to make a stamp from a recycled wine cork, and she uses it to decorate a fun cocktail napkin.
Craft a homemade stamp using any wine cork, then use it to add some Valentine's Day flair to a plain cocktail napkin.
Tools and Materials
Stamped Napkin How-To
1. Draw an "X" across one end of cork with a red marker, tracing several times to make thick lines. Draw an "O" around the perimeter on opposite end of cork.
2. With a craft knife, cut and remove the negative space from around the "X" (four triangles). Slice along side of cork to carefully remove each piece; scrape with craft knife to remove extra bits and cleanly define "X."
3. On the other end of cork, cut and remove the center of the "O" outline. Scoop toward middle of cork with knife to remove extra cork pieces and cleanly define the "O."
4. Dip the "X" side of the finished stamp in a thin layer of acrylic paint. Stamp corner of cocktail napkin. Dip and stamp the "O" side of the cork next to the "X" on the napkin. Let dry.
