have profound health benefits including neurological development. This is key in developing proprioception (spatial awareness) in people of all ages. It also promotes brain, and eye development. Finally, look into chiropractic care for her. Chiropractic is just as essential for proprioceptive development and for joint/overall health. There are reasons top athletes like Tiger Woods, Jerome Bettis, and many former/current Vikings players utilize Chiropractic! Hope this is helpful!

also know what you're getting. Two good companies are Standard Process and Multigenics. I like SP because they are a whole food supplement which means all their ingredients are from nature not synthetically man made. Make sure your protein source is not hydrogenated soy as this can leak nutrients from the bones. You'll also want to be weary of muscle development because her bones are still growing as well. I would also recommend a fish oil supplement as fish oils are being found to (cont.)

Felton- A growing young woman such as your daughter needs very appropriate care for her bone, joint, and overall health and development. When choosing vitamins be weary of store brands. Sadly, since there is no regulation on supplements a company can tell you their product has all essential vitamins and minerals in it and it could be saw dust and it is totally legal. Find a company that has had random assays (tests) done on their product. You'll pay a bit more, but you'll (cont.)

Garden of Life makes a wonderful complete protein called Goatein. The scoop is in it. I use Almond Milk with my protein. During the day I may add frozen fruit. Great!

I'm not sure the "correct" way to do it, I have a "Light and Fit" 60 calorie yogurt before I work out (my workouts are about :45 - :60 minutes) followed by the shake with 1 scoop. Good luck!

I just bought my protein powder, with whey. The directions tell me to drink one scoop before my workout, and then after. Should I, or should I just drink one after?

I am sitting here enjoying my protein fruit smoothie - OH MY!!!!!! This is so yummy, I made it with frozen fruit, 1 scoop of powder (I found this at Whole Foods, protein powder African Vanilla) and enough water so my hand held "blender" would work. I only used 1 scoop because I follow Weight Watchers and this is 2 pts for protein and 1 for fruit. I also added 1 packet of Splenda. So easy to make and really perfect! Hope you try and enjoy as well.

Any health food store will have protein powder (it comes in many flavors) and the "scoop" is usually inside the container itself. You could also order it online thru GNC.COM.
