Candy Cane Cocktail
Bartender Charles Corpion of the Four Seasons restaurant joins Martha to make a Candy Cane Cocktail.
Place crushed candy canes on a small plate or saucer. Wet the outside rim of a chilled martini glass with water. Holding the glass by the stem, rotate the rim to coat with candy.
In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, creme de menthe, cranberry juice, and ice; shake until well combined. Strain into prepared glass; serve immediately.
We had a cocktail christmas party last year. And out of all the drinks we made this was the biggest hit. Everyone really enjoyed it and I got a lot of calls after the party for the recipe.
These were a hit! They are definitely more like candy than peppermint, but still very tasty. We didn't worry too much about getting the peppermint lining just right, and it looked just fine with bigger pieces on the rim. I measured out 1/2 tsp for the creme de menthe

I'm not a big drinker but I hosted a New Years Party and this was a HUGE HIT!!! It tasted like candy and everyone had seconds, thirds...
This was a bomb at our Christmas eve dinner. The candy cane was hard to get to stay on the glasses. And by the fourth glass the candy all stuck together. Not a hit for us.
We tried this last night and loved it! Very yummy and festive! We definetly didn't mind carrying on with Christmas preparations while sipping this.
