Brewed Sun Tea

  • yield: Makes 1 gallon

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce tea, bagged or loose
  • 1 gallon water
  • 1 sunny day
  • Fresh mint sprigs or citrus slices, for garnish

Directions

  1. Step 1

    Place the tea in a lidded jar that will hold at least one gallon. Fill the jar with a gallon of water, and tighten the lid.

  2. Step 2

    Place the jar in a sunny spot outdoors, and allow the tea to brew for 4 hours.

    I grew up on sun tea and it's nice to see instructions on how to make this. I love to add fresh lemons and mint to mine.
