Cantaloupe Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup low-fat or nonfat plain yogurt
  • 1 pound (about 2 cups) chopped cantaloupe (from a 1 1/2-pound cantaloupe)

Directions

  1. Combine yogurt and cantaloupe in a blender; blend until smooth. Chill in an airtight container, and use within 1 day.

    These are so delicious, and a great way to use all that summer cantaloupe! Additionally, because there are no seeds, these smoothies are really smooth, as opposed to other berries like strawberries and blueberries where you can get a lot of grit from the seeds. I think this smoothie works best using a 1/2 cantaloupe, a small container of vanilla yogurt, and a cup of crushed ice.
