Sencha Green Tea

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Sencha green tea leaves

Directions

  1. Step 1

    Fill a small pot or teakettle with spring or mineral water; bring to a boil.

  2. Step 2

    Pour water into a Yuzamaski "cooling vessel."

  3. Step 3

    Place tea leaves into a small teapot. Pour over cooled water; cover and let stand 2 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Pour tea into 3 teacups, rotating cups while pouring. Serve immediately.

    "Yuzamaski" should be "yuzamashi"
    (I wanted to correct it because the "k" makes it sound Polish)

    "yu" = hot water
    "samashi" = to cool down
