Muesli Breakfast Cereal

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 Bartlett pear, cored and cut into 1/4-inch dice
  • 1/2 cup seedless red grapes, halved or quartered lengthwise


  1. In a small bowl, stir together oats, milk, and sugar. Cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate 1 hour and up to overnight.

  2. In a small skillet, toast walnuts over medium heat, tossing occasionally, until lightly browned, 4 to 6 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Stir walnuts, pear, and grapes into oat mixture.
