A great recipe for a great desert! I made it for my sister-in-law's birthday (her wish was for a chocolate desert and sth like tiramisu) and everyone was amazed by the result! Couldn't stop with the compliments! Thanks!
A tasty kid-friendly version of tiramisu! I used mascarpone cheese because I prefer it.
I can easily find ladyfinger cookies in the cookie section of any grocery store, but you could also try an Italian bakery or deli, they usually carry tiramisu ingredients including ladyfingers.
If you want to add coffee liquor, you could add it to the cream cheese mixture but this might make it runny, I'd put it in the cocoa water and soak the ladyfingers in the liquor mixture.
i've been looking all over for ladyfinger cookies. Did you have a hard time finding them?

cindylou10, how much coffee liquor would you add? What step do you add the coffee liquor?
I have made this tiramisu several times and what a fantastic dessert. You can add some coffee liquor at the end when you add the remainder of cream cheese. It is delicious and even better when it is made a day ahead.
