Garlic Croutons

  • Yield: Makes 2 cups


  • 2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, smashed
  • 1/2 day-old baguette, crust removed and cut into 1/2-inch cubes


  1. Warm oil with garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add bread cubes and cook, stirring occasionally, until light golden brown, about 4 minutes. Drain on a paper towel -- lined baking sheet. Discard garlic before serving.
