Ranch Dressing

Try this dressing as a dip for crudites.

  • Yield: Makes 3/4 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup low-fat buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup reduced-fat sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 small garlic clove, pressed or very finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced scallion
  • Coarse salt and ground pepper

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together buttermilk, sour cream, and vinegar; stir in garlic and scallion. Season with salt and pepper.

    and lemon juice, sorry forgot that, splash or two. Fresh lemon juice, not bottled.

    Worcestershire a splash or two should be added and that should give it the flavor you are used to.

    Though I agree that making your own dressing can be healthier, this did not taste like the average ranch dressing. It has a unique flavor, just not the restaurant style quality I was looking for.

    It seemed to be missing something...just didn't taste like ranch dressing. Added some low fat mayo but it didn't add much. Any suggestions?
