This recipe for oatmeal, from the March/April 2007 issue of Blueprint magazine, is a smart and tasty option for breakfast.
- 1 cup Irish steel-cut oatmeal
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- Pinch of cinnamon
Fill a medium pot with 4 cups water and bring to a boil. Stir in oatmeal and cook according to package directions, about 30 minutes. Transfer oatmeal to a bowl and serve immediately with walnuts, blueberries, and cinnamon.
