My fiance isn't a landscaper, but I'm doing something similar with petunias instead of trees. It was just my way of sharing my love of gardening with my wedding guests. Instead of sake cups, I'm using terra cotta pots.

I also have a landscaper as a fiance. He came up with this idea all on his own. I am very proud. We have two varieties of oak trees and we are going to be using them as table decorations as well.

I think this is a Great Idea! My fiance is a landscaper and I thought this would be a great way to incorporate him into the theme of the wedding.
