Project

Wedding Cake To Go

Introduction

With all the table-hopping they do, brides and grooms often don't get a proper slice of their wedding cake. A friend can prepare a thoughtful "to-go" box for the couple.

Materials

  • Awl
  • Pastry box
  • Ribbon
  • Wax paper
  • Forks
  • Cake

Steps

  1. Step 1

Use an awl to poke two holes an inch apart in the lid of a pastry box, available at baking shops.

  2. Step 2

Thread ribbon through, and tie on forks.

  3. Step 3

Line box with waxed paper. Give box to caterer before the reception.

Today everyone leads a busy life -- guests included. Occasionally they might even believe attending two or more weddings or other events in the same day, having to hurry from one to the next. Wouldn't it be kind to have some of these darling to-go cake boxes packed for busy guests, too?
