Antique Map Craft


Give a map (or any other eye-pleasing paper) a vintage look with this tea-bag technique from artist Ben Busko. Try hanging it in a frame on your wall or using it to make Ben's Decoupage Map Tray.


  • Map
  • Foam core
  • Acid-free tape
  • Tea bags
  • Watercolor paints
  • Paintbrush
  • Linen for mounting map (optional)

    Tea bags

    Watercolor paints

  4. Step 4

    Once the map is complete, mount on linen or use in a Decoupage Map Tray.

    I have decoupaged before, but do you know what type of watercolors they were using? does it effect the paint? It was nice to somebody so young and so fun on the Show, the maps Martha and Ben did are beautiful.

    What was the brand of decoupage medium that was used. It did not look like Mad Podge. Also, does the printer ink smear during the antiquing process?
