Bugs-Be-Gone Spray Recipe

Introduction

Because of their potency and concentration, essential oils should always be diluted when used in a spray.

Steps

  1. Step 1

Fill a 4-ounce spritzer bottle 2/3 full with water. Add 4 to 6 drops of any combination of the oils listed above; eucalyptus, lavender, citronella, and cedarwood is a favorite blend.

  2. Step 2

Spray clothes frequently -- every 10 to 15 minutes -- to successfully ward off insects. Do not spray on face.

Have not tried this, but was wondering if the oil would leave spots on our clothes??
    Thanks, Jean

I love this idea! Another thing I use is a spray of half Skin So Soft and half alcohol, and I spray every 2-4 hours. Sometimes I will just spray my shoes and ankles. This repels ticks very well, too. It is somewhat oily, but the alcohol cuts down on this a bit.
