    okay so they are not exactly KOSHER but at least they do not suggest adding bacon for flavor -- I have seen that on other web sites -- yikes! Anyhow FYI for anyone out there: any recipe with Matzo is mainly a Passover thing, Same with macaroons. As for the chix soup--hey in my family its good anytime except when fasting! We only use rugelach for the dairy holiday Shavuout. Shalom to ALL

    I wish Minnasiegel would have told us what dishes were not the right dishes for this Jewish holiday. I would have liked to learn from her. The recipes sound great, though.

    I have to agree. I found this selection a bit strange since neither holiday falls in September.

    This holiday roundup would be insulting if it weren't so ridiculous. Imagine a website advertising Christian holiday favorites in mid-December and then displaying recipes for Easter ham, Lenten fish menu ideas, and Christmas cookies and then advocating serving the whole thing for breakfast on Ash Wednesday.
