nanatentoes, how about sewing a grosgrain ribbon from bottom left, up the handle and back down again? Would that make the handles stronger and add a pretty detail?

i want to make perforated design on my felt bag. I used hot engraving tools but it leaves a dark burnt circle. I tried different degrees of heat but it didn't work for me. How can I achieve that?

Hi Craftwhack, for 100% wool felt, we suggest Magic Cabin, magiccabin.com. For a heavyweight felt, try filzfelt.com. Good luck!

Stacerella, you can find the directions for the pinecone here: http://www.marthastewart.com/how-to/pinecone-stocking

I believe it is a pine cone. Put "pine cone stocking" in the search box to obtain the directions.
