    PET FRIENDLY Human Shelters
If you were to have a fire, flood, landlord problems, abuse or anything else where you and your family need to flee your home and (human(s) + pet(s) = family) - Where is the closest Human Shelter to where you live that will allow pets and their humans to sleep beside each other in the same room? If you don't know, please find this out NOW before you forget, so you will be prepared with the information before you need it and put the info on the door of your fridge now

I just joined this sight and appreciate all the information. I have two eight yr. old Chihuahuas and they are spoiled and I have no control over them at all. I feel like they are ruling my life. Thanks for all the tips especially the one about bathing. I had been washing their body and then using a wash cloth for their face but sprinkling the face first, then rinsing. I have to wait until Bruno gets in bed then catch him to bath him. Maybe now, it will be easier. Thanks

Excellent advice for my Luci, and for the two pups Zoe and Xander . . . all of whom are rescued. I'm heading out to buy that martingale right soon! Many thanks!

Great tips. I have a nine year old border collie who is very sensitive and gentle around our new baby, but he is from farm stock and he's hard-wired to herd sheep so we will certainly be keeping a close eye on how he interacts with the child once she starts crawling and moving around more. At the end of the day, despite his high intelligence and loving personality, he's an animal who will revert to his natural instincts in certain situations.
